I assisted in organizing the Tech2D Forum for Sustainable Development in Frankfurt. I was responsible for organizing attendance of participants and speakers from GIZ's partner countries. At the Forum itself I served as the Speaker Manager. Besides my involvement in the Forum, I mainly worked on Gender and Land Governance issues. I evaluated GIZ projects regarding their gender strategies and facilitated a Workshop with the World Bank's Africa Gender Innovation Lab.

I was part of the project "Participatory evaluation and application of portfolios of climate smart agriculture practices to enhance adaptation to climate change in mixed smallholder systems of East and Southern Africa" (PEACSA). My achievements included:• Quantitative research with a dataset comprising 10.000 observations of participatory evaluations of climate smart agriculture technologies on-farm and on-station, • Designed a follow-up questionnaire and conducted data collection with 100 smallholder farmers in Wote, Makueni County, Kenya, • Presented a paper to the 30th International Conference of Agricultural Economists in Vancouver, Canada.

Kisii, Kenya

I was part of the research team of the project "Agriculture and Dietary Diversity in Africa". The research aimed to improve the knowledge on agriculture-nutrition linkages in the African small farm sector. We were particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms through which farmers can effectively adopt agricultural technologies that may improve their nutrition and health.I was part of the team that organized field research in the rural areas around Kisii, Kenya. On a daily basis, I was involved in organizing interviews with smallholders, accompanying and supporting the enumerators in the field, and dealing with occurring problems on the spot. Furthermore, I conducted data cleaning, editing, and entering.

GlobalFood is a research training group at the University of Göttingen that is concerned with the transformation of Global Agri-Food Systems. My main responsibility was to assist the doctoral students in their research. I conducted literature as well as data research, edited data in STATA, and helped with the conduction of behavioral economic laboratory experiments. Besides my work for the Ph.D. students, I helped organizing meetings and did administrative work.

I worked as an economic affairs intern at the United Nations Office of The High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS). My responsibilities and achievements include: • I prepared notes for the Under-Secretary-General (USG) and High Representative for the LDCs, LLDCs and SIDs with background information on different topics (e.g.: Calculating and forecasting the development of ODA until 2020; Poverty projections for the LDCs on the basis of recent research; Comparing data for the MDGs for LDCs vs. all developing countries)• I provided substantial support in organizing an ambassadorial consultative meeting on “LDCs' priorities in the post-2015 development agenda and the FfD Conference” in New York, as well as a ministerial meeting of African LDCs on “Structural Transformation, Graduationand the Post-2015 Development Agenda”,• I was responsible for the statistical annex of the report of the Secretary General titled "Implementation of the Istanbul Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries for the Decade 2011-2020"​, including data collecting, editing, and calculating statistical measures.
