Tim DeLeon is a Realtor® with The Group, Inc. Real Estate in Northern Colorado (since 2001). He is a CSU Eletrical Engineering graduate with a twenty-five year career with Hewlett Packard prior to selling Real Estate. During his time with HP, while holding several different management positions, HP was proactive in implementing industry leading processes based on data gathering, analysis, and then making decisions. HP managers were taught to “Get the Data” before making decisions moving away from previous “Guesstimate” decision making approaches.In joining the Real Estate field, Tim’s goal was to hit the ground running and to come up to speed on Realtor processes as quickly as possible. With Real Estate data becoming so available, Realtors can be much more aware of what is actually going on in the market, which is essential to the success in listing and selling homes. Understanding the market and trying to determine how that impacted customers led Tim to start to analyze the data that was now fast coming available. Additionally, Tim (with the help of some software engineering friends) wrote several applications that enabled him and his customers to really see what was going on in the market, and how that could impact their specific situations. These tools are now provided for Realtors nationwide and support over 60 different MLS's. These Realtor® based products enable Realtors® to easily plot data in useful ways to help them understand the market and to be able to communicate those results to customers for their specific situations. Those products are marketed under the Focus 1st, LLC Company and can be found at www.focus1st.com . Tim is married to Joanne DeLeon, who is also a Realtor® at The Group, Inc. Real Estate. Together, Tim and Joanne recognize how much information is available to consumers today, and have a goal to “Raise the Bar” and to improve the knowledge, expertise, and professionalism of Realtors® around the country.
