Project title: Isolation of hydrocarbon degrading bacteria. My jobs is to isolate bacteria which present in the waste water samples on MHA with used lubricating oil (ULO) for 7 days. Bacteria colony that are able to utilize ULO as carbon source and able to grow on the agar were further isolated in Nutrient Agar to obtain pure culture. Once pure culture had been obtained, bacteria identification was carried out by Gram staining.
