I work in the bikeshare group within Livable Streets where I assist with the administration and evaluation of San Francisco's stationless bikeshare and scooter pilot permit programs and Vision Zero safety projects. As a UCLA student, I am researching micromobility in San Francisco for the SFMTA with funding from the UCLA Institute for Transportation Studies.•Authored report and designed SFMTA Board presentation materials for stationless bikeshare pilot evaluation. Provided recommendations to amend the transportation code, SFMTA policies, and company operations for improving the JUMP bikeshare system •Drafted highly publicized scooter permit documents with bikeshare teammates and agency leadership as part of a coordinated communication strategy with news media, scooter companies, and the public •Implemented Vision Zero Traffic Safety Projects by facilitating community meetings, analyzing and mapping collision data, creating presentation boards, assisting with grant applications, coordinating with Public Works, and updating project websites•Met with schools, community centers, and other community stakeholders to consult and empower them to determine sites and types of interventions for traffic calming safety projects•Mapped potential locations for future bikeshare stations in public spaces to expedite bikeshare expansion

I was the lead author of the project livability and safety questions, project justification and background, and project description portions of Kern County's Advanced Planning Department's 2017 Congestion Management and Air Quality (CMAQ) grants. I also assisted in synthesizing the applications to include emission reductions, VMT effects, congestion effects, and cost effectiveness that had been calculated by the agency's planners, engineers, design team, and traffic management department. The types of projects included in these applications included intersection improvements/ signalization, road shoulder paving, class II bike lanes, dirt road paving, roundabouts, and signal interconnects.

As kitchen manager of the largest housing cooperative in North America, I oversaw kitchen operations and food storage at Casa Zimbabwe (CZ). I ensured that the kitchen was up to California commerical kitchen standards and ensured that we passed all inspections by the City of Berkeley. For this position I took a food handling course to become ServSafe certified by the National Restaurant Association. Day to day job responsibilities included accounting for all house inventory and ordering supplies for the house. Some other general responsibilities that came with being a compensated manager included guiding restorative justice circles with house members when conflicts arose and meeting weekly with Executive Directors of the Berkeley Student Cooperative in order to improve quality of life in our specific co-op and how we related to other cooperatives within the system. Some of the trainings I attended covered topics dealing with sensitive issues such as suicide, depression, sexual assault, and substance abuse and how to correctly support with members of the house who might have dealt with these issues.
