I work on SequentialRead projects mostly for fun, part time or sporadically. I have hosted sequentialread.com out of my home since 2015, as my own tech journal and an online space for any publications I might want to make. Since then I have registered SequentialRead Software as an LLC in Minnesota. I have created a few small open source applications under the SequentialRead name, as well as an alpha version of a cloud service + cross-platform desktop application called Greenhouse. Most of the projects I've been working on during this time are web applications, Python / Flask, Golang, Node.js, JavaScript/Typescript and React, etc.

This is a collaboration between my myself and my father. He was awarded an NSF grant to develop course materials on radioactivity, and he needed easy-to-use software simulators for the curriculum. He asked me if I could build simulators that would be game-like and engaging for students. I worked with him on and off for several years to develop three different simulators he could use in his curriculum unit. His work, with my help, was recognized by Science Magazine and awarded a prize for Inquiry Based Instruction.

Google Summer of Code is a program where Google pays student programmers to work on open source projects. Project leaders can apply for spots as mentors in the program, and once they are approved, students apply to the projects and are either rejected or assigned a mentor.I was accepted to work with Catrobat on their open source visual programming app Pocket Code. My project proposal: to implement user-defined blocks (functions) in the visual language.
