N R Brown Farriers is a professional farriery business located just north of Abergavenny in South Wales, UK. In addition to hoofcare services, N R Brown Farriers provides and promotes farriery education in addition to PR and marketing support throughout the farriery industry.

Forge & Farrier was launched to provide an up to date online information resource for farriers in the UK. The website provides results and reports from competitions and events in addition to a comprehensive Events Calendar, Industry Suppliers Directory, Article Library and Notice Board.It is visited by 6,000 individual users from across the world with an engaged social media following.In September 2016 Forge & Farrier became the host website for the online presence for the British Farriers and Blacksmiths Association (BFBA) and was voted the 'Best Farrier Focused Resource in Europe' in the GHP Animal Health Awards.Forge & Farrier was sold in October 2020 to the BFBA.

I was responsible for the reporting of farriery clinics and shoemaking competitions in addition to coordinating the development of their e-commerce website.During my time at Handmade I was also responsible for the marketing and advertising for the Kevin Bacon's Hoofcare range which included managing the production and launch of the website and writing technical health care articles for a number of equine publications.

To coordinate and manage the design and implementation of IT development used by racing personnel, such as The Jockey Club and British Horseracing Board Field Force. To write reports to secure funding for the system development. To write ‘help text’ and product literature.To arrange, co-ordinate and present at training days.

To process export applications both on a temporary and permanent basis for horses travelling abroad for racing and breeding purposes and to liase with the relevant international authority. To carry out identity checks for imported foreign-bred horses to be raced and liase with the owner or trainer of the horse if the identity of the horse is uncertain and to arrange blood or DNA samples as necessary.To provide administrative assistance to the Stud Book Department.

Answering calls and providing advice on the Equine Nutrition HelplineTo carry out forage analysis in-house and maintain reporting system. To provide administrative back up to the Sales Team as necessary. To deal with all aspects of customer relations, including the handling of complaints. Also assisting in the setting up and running of the show stand, either as part of a team or on my own.
