Responsible for constructing a large commercial development in west Houston containing (2) 14-story office buildings, (2) 6-story parking garages, (1) 9-story luxury apartment building, a large central plant and a large retail facility. Combined total of approximately $240 million in construction cost.

Concord Wilshire Development, Los Angeles, 2007. Initially responsible for all construction activities associated with the roll-out of a $4 billion luxury hotel chain in (15) cities across the country. Also responsible for pre-construction services related to a 3-story apartment complex in Orlando and the completion of a 6-story luxury condominium project in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.Terra Group, Miami, 2004–2006. Responsible for the commissioning of design teams, administration of design contracts and comprehensive oversight of design deliverables. Also responsible for all construction activities including conceptual budgeting, scheduling, solicitation of bids and proposals, contract negotiations, administration of contracts, dispute resolution, risk management and property management. Managed staff of (15) professionals and (4) non-professionals. Projects included Metropolis at Dadeland condominiums ($126.7 million, two 26-story towers), Quantum on the Bay condominiums ($241.1 million, 48-story and 42-story towers), 900 Biscayne Bay condominiums ($392.2 million, single 63-story tower) and pre-construction services related to Freedom Square condominiums ($538.4 million, single 60-story tower). Created and implemented a very successful Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) through AIG.Greenwood Corporation, Houston, 2002-2003. Owner’s representative on the delivery of projects including pre-construction services, management of design team and management of the construction process. Projects included horizontal development (street/utility work), pre-construction services for a large 3-story condominium project, two 6-story suburban office towers and a large free-standing specialty restaurant.

Responsible for all operations in the five-state region of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Managed staff of approximately 130 salaried employees in full service offices in Houston and Dallas and branch offices in Little Rock and Albuquerque. Major projects included the Methodist Community Healthcare Center at Willowbrook in Houston; multiple expansion projects for St. Joseph Hospital in downtown Houston; Christus St. Catherine Hospital in Katy; the AllTel Arena in Little Rock; several mid-rise office buildings in North Dallas; several K-12 education facilities in Dallas, Waco, and the Rio Grand Valley; multiple transmission sites throughout Oklahoma for GTE; and two Embassy Suites hotels for Remington Hotel Corporation.

Responsible for all developer-related work and all design-build work including the renovation of the Reliant Energy Building; the restoration of historic Christ Church Cathedral; the Methodist Community Healthcare Center in Sugar Land; several large interior projects for Compaq Computer Corporation; a large renovation to the Hermann Professional Building; an extremely complex design/build expansion project at Camp Allen for the Episcopal Diocese of Texas; and several other projects.

Commissioned under a three-year management contract with Structure Tone to open an office in Houston for Constructors & Associates (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Structure Tone). Responsible for several notable projects such as the complete renovation of One Shell Plaza (50-story office tower) and Two Shell Plaza (26-story office tower); the complete renovation of One Allen Center (30-story office tower); and new law offices for the firm of Fulbright & Jaworski (285,000 sf).

Responsible for all capital construction, leasehold improvement construction, and building maintenance within the Cullen Complex in downtown Houston. Projects included the complete renovation of the M. W. Kellogg Building (40-story office tower); complete renovation of the 500 Jefferson and 600 Jefferson office buildings (each a 15-story office tower); new corporate offices for Shell Oil Company’s Exploration and Production Finance Division (200,000 sf), and several other large tenant projects.
