As the Executive Director of Camp Menogyn and the Y of the North, I have the privilege of leading a dynamic team committed to providing access to the outdoors for campers and families. Our mission is to provide transformational experiences in a wilderness setting emphasizing personal growth, quality and relationships.At the heart of our work is a commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where all young people—regardless of their background—can experience the transformative power of the wilderness. This work is embedded in everything we do, from our outreach and scholarship programs to our camp culture and staff training.In addition to youth development and DEI, I am deeply committed to wilderness conservation. We recognize the profound impact that the natural world has on personal growth, and we are dedicated to preserving these landscapes for future generations. Through sustainable practices, environmental stewardship, and outdoor education, we aim to instill in our campers a lifelong respect for nature.I am proud to work alongside a passionate team of staff, volunteers, and partners to continue expanding the reach and impact of our programs. Together, we are shaping the next generation of youth who are not only prepared to succeed but also empowered to create positive change in their communities and the world.
