Lori Foster, Ph.D., is an applied psychologist currently working as a Professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology at North Carolina State University and an Honorary Professor at the University of Cape Town. Leading the 4D Lab, her research is positioned at the intersection of work, psychology, technology, and sustainable development, culminating in numerous publications and media features.As President of the International Association of Applied Psychology, Lori advances and supports global collaboration among professionals and scholars in applied psychology around the world. Her work with the OECD, European Commission, UN entities, and the White House Social and Behavioral Sciences Team illustrates her commitment to linking her science and practice with governmental, multilateral, and international frameworks.With over 20 years of consultancy work, Lori has applied psychological principles to diverse organizations in the private and public sectors, both nationally and internationally. Her work spans startups to large global organizations, including efforts to train and empower entrepreneurs in lower-income settings.
