The Homes for Queenslanders Implementation Taskforce (the Taskforce) has been formed to work with the Queensland Government to support delivery of the Queensland Government's whole of system response to the challenges and pressures in the housing market, Homes for Queenslanders. The Taskforce provides objective, authoritative and expert advice to inform implementation of actions under Homes for Queenslanders and help address barriers to delivery, and advises on market or other relevant industry and community considerations in relation to housing delivery, including in relation to urban planning, property development and economics, demographics, service delivery and best practice research as they relate to housing delivery and supply.Advice from the Taskforce will be provided to the Housing Delivery Board and to the Minister/Executive Government, as appropriate.

The Urban Policy Forum supports the Australian Government’s urban policy agenda, working toward a coherent vision for national urban policy through provision of advice to the Australian Government and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government on the design and implementation of the National Urban Policy framework, and on other policies and programs requiring a coherent and integrated approach within urban areas. This includes identifying innovative approaches to address National Urban Policy issues, facilitating cross-sector consultation and partnerships to support successful implementation of initiatives in the National Urban Policy, and providing input into reviews of the National Urban Policy or its implementation.

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Cross Sector Advisory Group (CSAG) provides a valuable source of information and expert advice to DVA and the Community Housing Industry Association. Its purpose is to provide broad ranging expert advice to inform the community housing response to effectively housing veterans. CSAG members bring a range of expertise and practice experience that will support discussion and exploration of issues impacting veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and the range of supports they need and are entitled to minimise risk of homelessness.

The Ministerial Homelessness Reform Advisory Group is established by the Minister for Housing to provide advice on the future directions, design and implementation of homelessness reform and best practice approaches to better target and deliver housing and support in Victoria. The role of the Ministerial Homelessness Reform Advisory Group is to provide advice on• The best way to structure and deliver homelessness services to maximise impact for people• Evidence based approaches and how to embed these into the homelessness system• How the system best responds to people’s diverse experiences and needs so thatservices are inclusive and respectful• Enabling systems and supports required to significantly impact homelessness inVictoria, including consideration of workforce capability and capacity and the role ofdata, information technology and evidence.

The Healthy Housing CRE is a 5-year project funded by the NHMRC from 2020-2025. It involves over 20 researchers from across Australia and the world. It is the first and only health-focussed Centre internationally to span healthy housing for Indigenous Australians, people in need and the growing population of rental housing tenants. The 5-year project will deliver new knowledge through interconnected research streams that focus on housing over the life course, quantifying the health gains of housing focused interventions and measuring and responding to the complexity of exposure to housing.

The Sustainable Cities and Regions Expert Reference Group is a group of leading experts across urban research, practice and policy, representing cities from around Australia which works to advance sustainability by enabling and translating the Sustainable Development Goals from research to practice. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals call for action by all countries to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognise that ending poverty must go together with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities while tackling climate change and environmental protection.
