    The development of the Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) method using the neutron source generatedby a Plasma Focus (PF) device. The aim is to build and test an NAA device and methodology, using theneutrons produced by the Plasma Focus device available at the Institute of Plasma Physics and Lasersof the Hellenic Mediterranean University and a gamma-ray detector that also exists in its facilities. Theequipment for gamma-ray detection will be calibrated using reference radiation sources and will beused to build a device for the analysis of samples. The NAA device will be placed near the neutronsource produced by the PF to activate the sample and measure the emitted spectrum. The device andmethodology will be characterized for its sensitivity in the determination of different elements.
