Working on a temporary contract across Cheshire West and North Wales, responsible for supplying establishment care homes and supported living accommodation with trained and reliable agency staff. The role involved understanding client requirements, liaising with staff to ensure shifts were covered rapidly, keeping in regular contact with clients to gage need, the recruitment of new staff and generation of new business streams. Additionally an exceptionally high level of compliance had to be maintained to ensure all legislative practices were adhered to.

Working on a LEP commissioned, ESF and DWP funded contract, responsible for managing relationships with referral partners, support organisations, barrier specialists and training providers. The role requires sourcing new opportunities across the Cheshire & Warrington contract delivery area, liaising with existing partners and stakeholders whilst identifying suitable new organisations. Additionally the role entails presenting to a wide range of organisations at all levels to drive performance and ensure KPI's are met on the contract. This in turn needs feeding back at board level and to contract commissioners.

Working on an ESF funded NEET contract responsible for restructuring the delivery and re-profiling of contract, driving performance within the team, reporting on contract metrics to prime contractor and executive team. The role also required carrying out quality and compliance audits, building internal processes to assist the contract, building up the profile of the contract with external partners, sourcing suitable referrals, training of new staff and sourcing of placement and progression routes for candidates on the provision.

Responsible key holder running the Chester office, required to provide relief supervision and training to colleagues in the Warrington and Cheshire team, reporting on figures, liaising with operational staff and acting as the point of contact for queries from external agencies. In addition to providing dyslexia assessments across Cheshire, the role requires providing specialist advice and guidance to individuals furthest from work with complex barriers to employment, including delivering support sessions on job searching, interview technique, soft skills, IT training, cash handling skills, travel training and confidence building both on a one to one basis and in group sessions. The role also requires co-ordinating referrals, local account management, caseload and diary management, all aspects of running an office, taking responsibility for aspects of H&S and safeguarding of venerable adults

Responsible for the firstly securing the funding for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership, then the successful delivery of three main objectives during the life span of the project; these included the development of an invention of mine: assisting people with vision impairment around an indoor environment and also managing a team to create a prototype for this innovative system. Within the role the original charity website was redesigned to create a fully accessible interactive web portal to provide people with a vision impairment exposure to new internet features (web 2.0 technologies) and to devise and facilitate new IT training sessions to assist this.Skills gained from working here include project management, bid writing and the sourcing of funding, the ability to lead teams, attention to detail, ability to deliver projects to deadlines, customer relationship management, ownership of the products and services developed.

Responsible for the day to day running of the resource centre, fielding queries from service users and other stakeholders. Additionally undertook numerous smaller projects to assist with the charities correspondence and service delivery. Worked closely with rehabilitation officers and IT trainers in order to provide a holistic and thorough service delivery..Skills gained from this post include customerservice and service user care, office and administration techniques, time and resource management and extensive knowledge of both the third sector and vision impairment issues.
