I have an MA in Psychology from the University of the West and working towards licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. In the experience gained during the program, I worked with individuals with neurocognitive impairment and their caregivers/family systems using person-centered care and art/creative approaches. In addition, I briefly worked with adolescents in a community mental health and high school setting through psychodynamic therapy utilizing a biopsychosocial and cultural approach. Before the graduate program, I worked in Applied Behavioral Analysis serving the ASD community for five years with different agencies; and worked in community and school settings.Altogether, my background and education in psychology allowed me to work with diverse communities and unique cultural backgrounds. Aside from psychology, I do creative activities like music production and performing arts. The skills I learned from psychology and performing arts taught me ways to connect with people through ways of communication and creativity.
