- Work with Corporate IA to perform the annual B/S account risk assessment, internal audit risk assessment, and fraud risk assessment.- Work with process owners to complete the process control assessments via the Exide Internal Control Evaluation system.- Perform control self testings for major business processes, or areas with high/ moderate risks. Processes with prior audit issues are focused and retested.- Perform risk based account reconciliations, maintain financial statement review in the region to reasonably avoid misstatements of financials at each month end. Issue score cards to the finance team.- Review all non-standard journal entries booked to GL at month end and ensure the special entries are authorized by appropriate levels of management.- Review and participate in the year end physical Inventory process. Review monthly cycle count reports, track results from units.- Work with Corporate Legal and Compliance team to manage the distributor/ sales rep contracts. Periodically audit key distributors for their overall financial status, pricing to customers and FCPA compliance. Complete due diligence questionnaires for all active distributors.- Review key contracts and coordinate with local counsel or general counsel to ensure terms and conditions have no major risks.- Monitor the FCPA implementations in the region, periodically audit expenses related to government officials.- Review and update the local Standard Operation Procedures in line with Corp policies. Set up new procedure or rebuild process according to business change. Follow up on the implementation of new procedure to make continuous improvement. - Coordinate the annual internal/external audits to identify internal control issues and follow up on action plans and resolution of issues before due dates.- Continuously monitor the SOX process across region; facilitate the quarterly attestation, ensure compliance is maintained in line with Corporate requirements.

־ Lead financial and plant audits for Asian Pacific, US and European operations (assessments for General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Purchasing, Order Management, Inventory, Controlling, etc.); Activities include risk assessment, planning, fieldwork lead and report drafting.־ Audits of SOX compliance;־ Initial self-assessment implementation of South Africa unit;־ Special projects and investigations including fraud related case;־ Internal Control Procedures review meetings;־ Quality reviews of units' self-assessment processes;־ Audits of data validation/ conversion processes for SAP implementation;־ SAP audit experience and knowledge of TeamMate.
