I gained a lot during my 6 weeks with Your D+I, not only valuable experience creating social media content thought Canva, but i was able to grow my knowledge of Diversity and Inclusion by taking part in some of their workshops. This enabled me to write blogs on Female Empowerment, Gender Bias and The Importance of Sign Language. I also advised on engagement growth and strategy to allow them to reach a new audience and helped in compiling a D+I calendar to help with social media for the year ahead.

I quickly adapted to new ways of working by ensuing that i adhere to the Covid-19 government guidelines. I demonstrated my hard work ethic and versatility by making myself readily available for additional goals and responsibilities including helping to plan and cover functions whilst being self-motivated and able to show initiative. After several months of working at the golf club I took on a supervisor role on weekends working with little to no supervision whilst leading and supporting small teams. I also assisted in supporting and training new staff, ensuing that they adhere to the new policies and integrate well into the team.

I worked for Next as part of their 2017 Christmas Sale Team, based in the stockroom, this allowed me to get a permanent position. My role through to Sept 2019 involved working on the shop floor dealing closely with customers making sure that their needs were met whilst in store. This role has helped me to develop my communication, team working skills and has helped me to gain more confidence. I also worked within the delivery department where I had to efficiently manage my time, working to deadlines and goals.

Work experience whilst in school (Summer 2015) for a small graphic design studio where I did general admin work, accounts, presentations and scanning. Following my pervious work experience I returned in Summer 2018 and Summer 2019 where I assisted with the styling on photoshoots, helped to train staff on social media and created posts for their customers social media accounts

For Occhi, an online retailer, I helped to style and run a design stand at the Leeds Corn Exchange Showcase Spectacular. This was an exciting project, allowing me to use my creativity and meet and serve customers. I also did some social media marketing for Occhi which included setting up and helping to run their Facebook and Instagram pages.
