Lavoro presso il progetto SPRAR del Comune di Sestri Levante dove mi occupo della gestione dell’accoglienza di un gruppo di otto giovani donne Richiedenti Asilo provenienti dalla Nigeria, dal Nepal e dalla Costa d’Avorio e vittime di tratta a scopo di sfruttamento sessuale.

I worked at the San Giovanni Battista Centre (Genoa) as interpreter, support worker, asylum advocate with a group of 60 young men coming from Sub-Saharan Africa.

I worked alongside teachers during ESOL classes (English for Speakers of Other Languages) which are delivered in various areas of Bristol.I worked with individuals and small groups, helping learners to get the most out of the lessons in a supportive, encouraging and confident manner.

The Migrant Rights Centre works to promote human rights among migrants and their families and eliminate the risk of poverty, exclusion, exploitation and discrimination in Bristol and the greater Bristol area. This is achieved through the running of a weekly drop in session for anyone affected by migration and projects and campaigns challenging perceptions and promoting equality.I manage the Migrant Rights Centre Bristol where my role is split between running drop in sessions at the Malcolm X Community Centre and setting up a project focused on the provision of services for migrant women. My support is extensive and includes: interpreting and translating, writing documents and CVs, booking and attending appointments with GPs, lawyers, Bristol City Council’s and Bristol Citizens Advice Bureau’s employees, filling in forms and contacting other service providers for visitors.http://migrantrightscentre.org.uk/

During a ten weeks' course I taught a basic Italian knowledge to a class of four English adults, aged between 18 and 26 years old.

Welcoming and supporting new students throughout their careers, giving them informations and helping in planning their studies.
