Research topic: The role and therapeutic effect of cerebral dopamine neurotrophic factor (CDNF) in animal models of neurodegenerative diseases, with a special focus on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)Supervisors: Assistant Professor Merja H. Voutilainen Ph.D., Professor Mart Saarma, Professor Raimo TuominenResponsabilities:+ Managed my own projects from experimental design to practical execution and data analysis. From this, I generated 1 published article, 1 preprint and 1 manuscript, where I am 1st or 2nd author. My doctoral training enhanced my organizational and multitasking skills, as well as my ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines.+ Coordinated a large multi-institution collaborative project that yielded outstanding results in the field of ALS. The manuscript derived from this work, that I wrote mostly by myself and where I am the sole 1st author of, is currently under review in Nature Communications.+ Awarded 10+ research grants from various institutions, which I wrote independently, highlighting my communications skills and ability to carry out written assignments successfully.+ Participated in numerous international conferences with oral and poster presentations, including a scientific talk at the Society for Neuroscience conference (largest international neuroscience meeting with 30 000+ attendees).+ Supervised the work of 10+ MSc student and lab trainees.
