Hi there! I have recently graduated from Cal Poly SLO, with a bachelor's degree in materials engineering, after transferring there from West Valley, Community College. I am actively searching for a job in San Jose, CA and the greater South Bay.My time at West Valley College provided me with great opportunities to build my leadership skills. I feel like my experiences at West Valley College have thoroughly prepared me for anything. I’ve become more adaptable, gained leadership and communication skills, and have had a chance to experience what I’m capable of within my education. I was also able to strengthen my community of female engineers as co-founder and president of West Valley’s Women in STEM Club.At Cal Poly I have had the chance to really dig into the subject of materials engineering with a range of specific coursework (listed on my resume). Their emphasis on 'Learn by Doing' has allowed me to gain practical experience with a variety of mechanical testing machinery and even experience in their class 1000 clean room. I also had an internship before graduating with PCC Structuals that introduced me to a manufacturing environment through the investment casting industry. My banner is a micrograph of heat treated Ti-6Al-4V that I took during my senior project at Cal Poly.
