• Visiting suppliers regularly to carry on building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, further increasing product knowledge and addressing key commercial impacts affecting the supplier and Porta Romana's business. • Creation and processing of all custom and bespoke shade quotes within a 24 hour turnaround to the sales team, ensuring these are always within our product margin. • Purchasing of all custom/bespoke furniture & lighting. • Reviewing demand for over 400+ various products across 7 key suppliers including glass, ceramic, wood, metal and stone. Raising purchase orders where necessary. • I speak to my suppliers on a daily basis, communicating any issues with their product or account and ensuring prompt solution. • I have 4 inboxes to prioritise throughout my day, maintaining them equally and prioritising appropriately whilst ensuring every email is answered in a timely manner. • Organising and managing 'one off' and seasonal projects e.g. New collection shades, London design week showroom re-fit, annual cost pricing. • Resourcing of product - proposing viable solutions to the Purchasing Manager, including sustainability, costs and that all changes are documented. • I work closely with the Product Development Team ensuring there is a strong flow of information and planning as we develop new product ranges. I use my product knowledge to help influence which design would best suit which supplier. • I attend 'Product Review' and follow up on notations/ action points -working closely with the Warehouse, Lampshade Teams and Product Development Team. • Working closely with a select sales team member on a high profile customer account. We work together ensuring stock arrives overseas for their showroom(s) worldwide in plenty of time. This account has their own bespoke furniture and material from overseas so when a piece is ordered it takes priority in supplier schedules which is managed by myself

I collaboratively ran the greeting cards department alongside one other employee.I would meet with reps where I would chose and purchase our latest greeting card ranges. I was the point of contact for our reps and also first on hand to speak to customers with queries or problems.I learnt a variety of skills during this role, from dealing with customers, choosing and buying ranges, picking, packing orders to creating marketing material to boost sales.
