Working on innovative and strategic campaigns for commercial fiction and non-fiction titles. Delivering impressive coverage and achieving best selling chart positions or word of mouth success stories.During my time at Pan Macmillan I also looked after the publicity strategy for their reading group fiction imprint, Mantle. This involved creating a new events strategy, broadcast and print publicity and partnerships.

I worked on some fantastic campaigns across commercial crime and women’s fiction. Including best-selling crime novel The Doll’s House by M.J.Arlidge and Age Sex Location by Melissa Pimentel.Responsibilities included planning and coordinating many high profile events for Penguin Random House including Penguin’s Crime, Cookery and Women’s Fiction evenings.Prior to this I was assisting the Publicity Director whilst working on my own campaigns. I drafted schedules, arranged features and reviews, looked after the departmental budget and planned author events for Stephen Fry, Jamie Oliver and Mary Berry.

My role as Marketing Assistant to a fifteen strong team was very admin heavy and therefore really helped me hone my organisational skills and computer literacy to a very high level. I found it incredibly easy to slot in to the team and anticipate their everyday needs and my organizational skills have been greatly benefited.
