Development Engineer
Current- Assisted Staff Engineers with new designs and markings for cargo containers (ULD's)- Created engineering models and drawings in both 2D and 3D (AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor) per ASME Y14.5 standards, and converted 2D parts into 3D- Root cause analysis of production issues- Various sustaining projects to keep both models and drawings up to date with current feedback from production and operations (provided design deviation authorization to production when necessary, prototype drawings, R&D for both new and old designs, provided 2D and 3D models to production team for part creation on automated machines)- Handled execution of customer requests to change existing designs (Service Bulletins & Service Letters)- Initiated and led monthly meetings with the sustaining team to discuss efficiency, successes, areas of improvement, new ideas
