I’m an organization designer, ecosystem builder and facilitator working in the field of distributed leadership and participatory work. I’m passionate about this because I believe that it’s time to usher in a new era, where organizing structures and cultures contribute to a more thriving system for all. In 2017, I co-founded Greaterthan, a global collective that sprang from two communities who had been experimenting with new ways of organizing for a decade, Ouishare and Enspiral. Greaterthan supports leaders and purpose-driven organizations who want to develop organizational structures and cultures that align with their values and the impact they want to create in the world. Today, I train, facilitate, and consult with organizations and teams on the topics of shared leadership & governance, network & community building, self-management, collaborative decision-making and budgeting. I am often brought into projects when it’s time to take to an organization to the next level: mature networks looking to scale, organizations needing to make their ways of working more explicit and leaders ready to make a change, but not knowing what the next step is. I only work with groups that are ready to do the hard work and face the difficult questions around money, power and governance that come with taking new organizing practices seriously.
