I completed the 0-to-1 experience and launched the first embodiment of Cisco's Predictive Networks vision, WAN Insights, an award-winning SaaS product that contributes to $60 million ARR. I assumed management responsibility of the team (distributed, cross-functional) and guided people through multiple upper leadership and product-management transitions. Planning, operations and costs fall under my responsibilities. The product processes every days tens of terabytes worth of data to allow more than 500 global-scale enterprises to monitor and optimize their SD-WAN.

I got the opportunity to join a prestigious and nimble internal innovation unit headed by a Cisco Fellow. As the lead data engineer, I designed, implemented, and maintained the big data pipelines that are now powering some of the most advanced and strategically important products in the Enterprise Networking portfolio (e.g., Cisco AI Endpoint Analytics, Cisco AI Spoofing Detection, WAN Insights). I have been in charge of the MLOps efforts, drove the cloud data management infrastructure, promoted software software engineering best-practices and served the team also as area/squad lead.

Moved to Switzerland to join this AdTech, machine-learning based, start-up in its first phase of large growth. As one of the early employees, the big data pipelines and the cloud infrastructure that I introduced played a significant role in the development of the business and, later, the successful exit. Beyond software design and development, I had responsibility of entire product features and of the execution for the unit I was part of (OKR planning, sprint management).

Joined this start-up as employee #1 and helped build the company motion capture framework as well as delivering successful external projects. Focus on body movement recognition, wearable sensors calibration, and machine-learning for prosthesis control. Customers included professional sport clubs (soccer, cycling), military institutions, and public research centers.
