• Responsible for the study of Indoor air quality in health care facilities and Operating Theatres, with focus on ventilation and filtration system design for airborne microbiological, ultrafine and particles. Aim of research is reduction of SSI and HAI infections for patients and work environment risk hazards for medical staff and patients.• Responsible for the study of the environmental conditions of museums for special applications and show exhibition of particular masterpieces. Collaboration in the system design and testing of the Duomo Museum in Milan (2012), and Pontorno’s tapestries in the exhibition for the EXPO 2015 exhibition in sala delle Cariatidi – Royal Palace in Milan (2015). In collaboration with Daikin Industries.• Responsible for the innovative study of the micro-environment of exhibit display show case used in museum. Design and testing of the HVAC, filtration and airtightness system. Collaboration with Goppion SpA for the design, construction and testing of many display cases for Louvre Museums in Paris, Museo Diocesano of Milan, China, Smithsonian and Getty Museum, etc.• Responsible in the collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology and the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg (Sweden) for the study of the influence of ventilation system and electrosurgical tools on the airborne contamination control in operating theatres for health related problems with patients and personnel caused by electrosurgical tools (ESTs).• Study and research on the contamination release (particle, microbes, gases) from people, components, garments, robots, materials. Evaluation and implementation of new procedures for testing the aforementioned things according ISO standards, FDA and EU GMPs guide lines.

PhD focused in the study of new techniques for microbiological air sampling and monitoring in clean environments. The PhD works has also comprehended the design, realization and validation of a brand new experimental ISO 5 Class cleanroom laboratory center for experimental and theoretical tests for both research and academic purposes.

Support the Management Board on event organization (program schedule, hot topics identification,etc.); finding new process activity and technology; scientific support to the Company Partner for legislative interpretation, QA analysis, risk program and technical requirements.

Professional teaching activities:-Design and preparation of the international courses in cleanrooms and controlled environments (Basic and Advanced). Guest researcher at Chalmers for joint research in the field of design and contamination control on Operating theaters both experimentally and numerically. Research have focused also on the study of new filtration and ventilation techniques for OTs as well as the study of microbiological air sampling techniques in clean environments.

Design of HVAC &R and contamination control system for the realization of the new Duomo Museum in Milan for Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, Italy.Activities delivered:• Coordination of the engineer staff with architects. • Evaluation of the best solution to fit with ancient building • Evaluation of the indoor thermal conditions in function of the masterpieces of the museum.• Worked with teams to develop efficient work practices and best solution for exhibition.• Maintained regular contact with other designer teams and constructors in order to end up task in efficient and fast way.
