The Harrogate Easier Living Project receives support from a large team of local volunteers and has provided the following services for local people over the years:Carers' Time Off: A volunteer spending time with the cared-for person on a regular basis so that their full-time carer can have a break.Opening Doors: People were accompanied by a volunteer to get to appointments, shops or just to get out of the house for an hour or two. Help at Home: Our supervisors take out small teams of volunteers to tackle gardening, decorating and DIY tasks.Voluntary Car Driving Service & Befriending Service.We set up these services responding to gaps in local demand, developed them and collaborated with other local organisations to find the most suitable home for some of them in the longer term.

Leading a team to review around 50 grant applications per month from companies who want help to develop new export markets.Dealing with queries and customer complaints when escalated to me by the team and responding to feedback to bring about changes that lead to higher levels of customer satisfaction.Carrying out training with grant assessors to ensure they understood their role and the requirements of the programme.Monitoring financial spend and overall progress towards the programme's targets of increased export turnover, job creation and staff retention within companies receiving the grants.

I acted as the main point of contact between overseas clients and all factory departments. The role demanded first-class organisational skills and I prioritised my workload effectively, meeting demanding deadlines daily in a very fast-paced environment. I worked closely as a team with other account managers to ensure cover and excellent service for all accounts, sharing best practice.

As the only French-speaker in the company, I was involved in all stages of sales to France, from producing quotations through to carrying out Operator Training after equipment installation. In order to develop our European markets, I carried out research into competitors overseas and assessed market share. I attended exhibitions and developed good relationships with potential clients both by phone and by visiting them overseas.
