Rating Veteran Service Representative
CurrentPresently functions as a Rating Veteran Service Representative (RSVR) as part of the Intake Processing Center and/or within special missions as dictated by the Veterans Service Center.Key Contributions, Highlights, & Achievements:•Primarily serves as a decision-maker for claims that involve rating decisions.•Proactively researches, investigates, and determines service-connection, disability percentage, permanent or total disability, entitlement to compensation/pension/vocational training/medical and dental treatment/automobiles/other conveyances/insurance/specially adapted housing/dependent education allowance/additional ancillary benefits.•Analyzes initial allegations and conditions claimed and investigative evidence required and the necessity for any collateral support prior to developing a final decision.•Accurately and efficiently analyzes claim evidence, determining if diseases and/or injuries were incurred in or aggravated by the military service in the line of duty for purposes of compensation, hospital treatment, prosthetic appliances, and/or related employment and compensation benefits.•Proficiently reviews and determines if a need for examination/re-examination is necessary to complete the claim process.•Following extensive investigative review and analysis, determines permanent incapacity and/or competency of Veterans and their dependents.•Utilizes VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities (i.e., Rating Schedule) and prepares rating decisions that inform Veterans Service Representative and/or claimant of the respective decision, reasoning, and basis.•Applies exceptional interpersonal communication and collaboration skills when communicating and interacting with Veterans and their representatives/advocates.
