-I handle the ME close, for Mohawk Ind,, and all of it entity's in the US-Review all purchases made during the ME period, and accrue use tax based on tax knowledge, and mfg. exemptions by state.-Prepare all audits as requested by State(such as pulling invoices, getting out exemption certificates, and building a east to read Excel spreadsheet for state)-Handle all ad-hoc questions through out company, and handle the issues at time of ad-hoc questions(review CIP projects to ensure if tax needs to be paid, of if tax was paid in error is refund due)-

In this position I did a wide range of various work spread across the department. -Handled the close process each ME using JDE, HFM, and SAP-A few reports that I handled during close (Unclaimed property, HSA Benefit Accruals, G&A Allocation entry, IS Accrual, and Chargebacks, Clear accounts, and get them closed w balances of 0, Validate all entries)-Send out asset tags, and dispose of assets, depreciate assets an keep up with them in Excel-Very knowledgeable of all Excel programs -Set up meetings w/ plant managers to better handle the invoices, as far as what would be exempt from tax by the various states

Assisted center staff in development of program participants, and also in the field marketing face to face. Handled the majority of all itemized tax returns. Signed off on all peer reviews, before they were transmitted to IRS. Worked in bookkeeping making sure that the client’s information was always put in the correct file, and anything that needed to shred was always done at the time.
