Hello! I'm Francis, a 2023 UCLA graduate from Princeton, NJ. Enamored by science from a young age, my studies and experiences have heightened my passions in education and healthcare, specifically with the goal of working within communities that face systemic barriers to these human rights.I am currently serving as a Teach for America corps member in Los Angeles as a high school environmental science and biology teacher in Inglewood, holding the chance to inspire and encourage my students to pursue college, STEM and healthcare. Ultimately, my goal is to earn a D.D.S and interweave children's education into my career. I am also interested in the biological research of oral and maxillofacial diseases including efforts to advance aid in underserved areas for this underlooked epidemic, and I have presented a research poster to UCLA Dentistry faculty on this topic. At UCLA, I was also a writer and editor for the Daily Bruin with 100+ published stories and podcasts in Sports and Arts and a coordinator for Happy Feet Clinic. In my freetime I enjoy writing freelance, traveling, music, and staying active outdoors. Please feel free to reach out to me at fmoon0907@gmail.com!
