Mortgage Loan Originator

• Establish, develop, and maintain client referral relationships with Financial Advisors, Wealth Management Bankers, and Realtors with the goal of developing new business and/or retaining existing business • Originate loans to achieve sales targets by converting mortgage inquiries into qualified mortgage applications• Communicate effectively with the borrower as well as all other interested parties of the transaction in order to set expectations accordingly• Interview borrowers to complete the application process, quote rates, read required compliance disclosures, and complete follow-up activities with the registration lock-in• Work cohesively with all other employees in the mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing departments to achieve all goals and objectives• Educate clients on product/program/rate information for which they qualify with the intention of obtaining conditional approvals• Collect credit reports & financial information to analyze a clients’ budget and recommend appropriate products for loan proposals• Remain current and knowledgeable on all origination, processing, appraisal, underwriting and closing requirements for both company and investor guidelines pertaining to both governments insured and privately insured mortgages• Stay current with changing rules, regulations, and guidelines for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA invested mortgages• Ensure maintenance of licensing via continuing education in order to perform Loan Originator duties• Provided exceptional customer service as evidenced by positive performance evaluations and feedback received
