I am an electromechanical engineer with a doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering and Physics. I work in Neuroscience at the University of California Riverside, obtaining and analyzing EEG data from mice. My doctoral project was in Biophysics, where I measured the diffusion of different liposomes by image processing. For my master's project, I measured the rheological properties of liposome membranes in the presence of different anesthetics, mainly Propofol. I designed my acquisition system from scratch for this project.Previously, I worked in research in Switzerland. My duties were setting up a multichannel acquisition system for bird neurophysiological signals, designing the necessary PCB and custom flex board cables, ordering supplies, dealing with PCB manufacturers, testing the designs, modifying the GUI interface, controlling the FPGA, and mounting the final system. Before that, during my Master's Thesis in Mexico, my duties were to set up an acquisition system, including high-precision temperature control. After finishing my bachelor's studies, I developed and installed a human-machine interface. This HMI was installed in the local PepsiCo. Lastly, I worked for eight years at Laguna Scientific, mainly installing, maintaining, and fixing microscopes and laboratory equipment. Therefore, I have extensive experience with equipment handling.
