Knowbly is an Interactive authoring and Content Delivery eLearning Tool. During my time there, I worked as a Product Designer and some of my responsibilities included:- Helped ideate and design new tools, responsive widgets, and functionalities.- In collaboration with the Art Director, I helped define, implement, and formalize new UI guidelines, design patterns, and a component library.- Created and iterated prototypes based on research, specs, and user feedback. - Ensured that design patterns and best usabilities practices were in place and followed. - Annotated designs and prototypes for hand-off to developers.- Worked with developers to ensure accurate implementation of new designs and product features.

I was part of the team tasked with creating digital re-layouts, enhancement, and development of eBooks. - Ensured that paper books' assets would translate adequately for eBooks layouts.- Created digital assets for interactive eBooks.- Ensured that graphic content was prepared according to specs.- Designed book covers and infographics. - Created layered exports of illustrations. - Worked with developers to ensure accurate implementation of interactive elements in digital widgets.Key Clients: National Geographic Learning and Pearson

As the Art Director at TakingITGlobal (TIG), I worked directly with the leadership team to define its annual objectives and quarterly KPIs. I was responsible for ensuring that all designs were completed on time.- Managed multiple projects from ideation through completion.- Spearheaded the art direction and design of internal and external projects.- Worked closely with project managers to identify product requirements.- Helped create a streamlined design process focused on an Agile approach.- Oversaw the daily operations of all design and web projects.- Lead a multidisciplinary team of designers and developers.- Mentored and coached junior designers and interns.- Helped to refine and formalize TIG's design strategy and helped to promote design thinking.- Conceptualized TIG's design language and brand strategy.- Lead the redesign of TIG's promotional collateral.- Spearhead the UX and redesign of TIG's online platform.During this time, I also was involved in several CSR projects that TIG collaborated on with the Adobe Foundation, Microsoft & The Staples Foundation. Partnered with organizations like Amnesty International UK, Knight Foundation & Canadian Heritage in helping deliver youth-serving initiatives.

I co-funded Tinbits, a small design startup that produced and sold collectible pins and also produced collateral branding for other companies.- Designed and developed the company brand, collateral, and website.- Leased with clients regarding creative briefs and product designs.- Ensured that project deadlines and contractual obligations were on time.- Leased with all external vendors and suppliers to ensure that all products were available and in stock.- Designed all new products and limited edition pins for the company.

The 4th World Youth Congress was held in Quebec City 2008 and brought 537 delegates from around the world. I was responsible for leading the development of the congress website and registration portal.As someone that had attended all the previous conferences and was familiar with the World Youth Congress series, I was brought on board by TakingITGlobal and Peace Child International to:- Developed a roadmap for the implementation of the trilingual congress website.- Spearheaded the website's UX/UI design, including creating user personas, user flows, and wireframes.- Served as a key contact for all the partners involved in the project.- Worked with TIG's in-house engineering team to create the congress website and registration portal. - Created daily video capsules, photographed key events, and broadcasted online the main sessions during the 2008 congress.
