As a specialised financial crime analyst, my goal is to play a small, but important role in the war against crime, fraud, scams, corruption and terrorism.Fighting against these illegal activities does not always resemble the action packed scenes presented in movies. In reality, these criminals are frustrated, stopped or identified in their attempt to use financial institutions for illicit purposes through the collective and essential efforts of the teams I work with in the areas of 'Know Your Customer' (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF). This valuable work protects our bank’s integrity and helps legitimate customers establish and maintain integral relationships with us.
