In 2020, I founded the WHO I AM initiative to promote the use of blockchain technologies in support of community development. I partner with a support team & individuals with the same heart and vision. Personal and business coaching is offered in a variety of formats including pre-recorded videos, live Zoom sessions, physical presentations or workshops, and physical meetings. I'm proud to say that a coaching client running a community project recently attracted sponsorship by Sony International.This year, I assembled an international team of 8 people to support local NPO's and tourist attractions. This project is called the Eden Protocol and the first partners have already signed up.The name WHO I AM was purposefully chosen as a continuous reminder of the focus on growth and equipping people to reach their full potential.

General manager meant acting as property, maintenance, operations, events and staff manager for a staff complement of 30. I created and ran an Instagram account as part of the marketing strategy for the lodge. I conducted HR duties as well as management of the restaurant, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance and events departments. I established an open-door policy to build healthy relationships with staff members. I coordinated events, ensuring that all facets of the business, i.e. restaurant, lodging, events and day visitors were operating in sync. This meant being prepared, focused and involved at every step to ensure that the team never missed a beat. This role required exceptional management skills, particularly during events like weddings.Du Kloof Lodge and estate is located in a breathtaking but logistically remote area in South Africa. As a result, planning and foresight was imperative to make the business, e.g. restaurant, events and maintenance, a success.

Grace Matter Training was founded after I was approached by the Technical Director of Atlas Fire Security (Centa Group) to be a partner in the founding of a training company aimed at upskilling installation teams in the Fire Protection Industry.

I secured the role of nuclear reactor operator, the first of my career, as one of 34 successful applicants out of a pool of 4000 (<1% success rate).Ultimately I qualified as a Senior Nuclear Plant Operator, ensuring the operational integrity of various parts of the plant as part of an international team. The role required continuous monitoring and adjustment of system parameters, and stop- and starting plant as routine checks or maintenance required. I also oversaw the performance of maintenance work per prescribed policies.I worked independently as well as collaboratively, and was required to lead on many occasions. The position required exceptional accuracy, problem solving and attention to detail in the midst of strenuous conditions while working long shifts. Continuous training included high-level communication in pressured situations, specialising in the operation of nuclear power plant equipment, and qualifying as an advanced firefighter as well as a rescue medic.I resigned to further my interests in business development and management.
