I currently serve as CEO for African Conservation Trust, (www.projectafrica.com). We are Building a Conservation Economy, one that is respectful, regenerative, restorative and resilient for the Planet, and by doing so to enable its people to thrive. Right now we are employing 2500 persons across 4 provinces as part of a special Presidential Stimulus project, and have equipped more than 600 heirloom seed nurseries, and will have trained more than 1000 persons in agro-ecological farming practices, resulting in more than 30,000 homestead gardens.I served as Programme Director for the 2019 World Youth Wildlife Summit, equipping, educating, empowering and engaging youth to address the rampant Wildlife Crime across Africa and the world.In Feb 2011 I ended a 2 year stint as Director of Msunduzi Innovation and Development Institute, positioning KwaZulu Natal's capital city Pietermaritzburg as a sustainable African City with a 25 year vision. I also served as Head of Strategic Sustainability and International Projects for Headway Venture Capital. ACT is a founder member of Project Rhino KZN, the Imfolozi Community Wilderness Alliance and FrackfreeSA. I am only too pleased to share my passion for the environment and have successfully raised over R200 million for a variety of rural and environmental projects over the past decades.
