Project lead for a team of five engineers chartered with designing and implementing support for Distributed Transaction Management per the X/Open XA Specification. Both SQL Server and Sybase XA library were modified to become fully XA compliant components.Technical lead to design and implement cache management and synchronization for SQL Server metadata repository. It included cache management policies, session and transactional semantics to ensure consistency with SQL Server persistence layer.Performance enhancement work to reduce contention on metadata cache access synchronization in a multiprocessor environment. This led to Sybase winning numerous TPC-C benchmarks on various environments.

Helped in co-starting Sybase SQL Server sustaining engineering team in Europe. Participated in recruiting and training people for various engineering sites in Europe.Worked in resolving SQL Server product defects.
