With the COO a fellow RN, I later wrote policies and procedures, provided oversight and training for medication administration, and assisted in creating a new medication system for the company..

Responsible for clinical operations for 94 bed Alzheimer's Assisted Living with oversight of medical staff of 70+. Communication with families, consultants, and management, education of professionals and the general public.

Acted as liaison between physicians, case managers, discharge planners, hospital staff and families and the hospice. Assessed and completed admissions to hospice program, provided education and support for families and patients, assisted with home visits, conducted pain and symptom control seminars and classes for health care professionals for Continuing.

Started with this company as a case manager when the company had 12 employees and 5 patients. Grew with the company and eventually took the position of Director of Nurses for the Houston area. Responsibilities as case manager included developing and implementing plans of care for 12- 20 terminally ill patients and their families, on call duties with triage.
