CurrentMathematics Instructor: Taught both developmental and content specific mathematics courses to both large and small group classes. Prepared quizzes, group projects, exams and reference handouts used by other programs. Integrated technology into the classroom with the appropriate use of computer labs and group discovery projects. Successfully introduced and created a value of mathematics to students that previously avoided and disvalued mathematics. Math and Writing Skills Center Coordinator: Successfully created and supervised the residential Math and Writing Skills Center for the Waite Park campus. Quickly acquired the skills needed to advise and critique students in writing techniques and written works. Provided mini-lectures to Vet Tech/Medical classes mastering conversions and substitution techniques.Academic Advisor: Provided students with information and advice on scheduling general education and program specific classes. Helped incoming students decide on appropriate majors through discussion and general class exploration. Advised students who were on academic probation. Active member of new student orientation planning committee and assisted in creating the class schedule for the school.
