Manufacturing and Development Department (40 hours per week during summer/ winter, part-time during semester) June 2019-Present• Performed day-to-day Manufacturing and Development (upstream) operations such as setting up, sampling, feeding, harvesting bioreactors, centrifugation, depth filtration, making bioreactor assemblies, processing bioreactor samples making buffers, running titer samples on HPLC, sampling/splitting flasks in a biosafety cabinet• Performed downstream operations (Free Thiol, A280, residual HCP, residual ProA, Bio-A, making HPLC buffers)• Supported viral clearance studies (packing and testing omni-flex columns with various chromatography resins)• RAM-managed equipment allocation software that coalesced all certifications into an online program that allowed a user to see all current pieces of equipment and their respective states of calibrationQuality Control Department (40 hours per week) June 2018-February 2019 • Worked on/developed the free thiol assay • Performed day to day QC operations (balance calibrations, making buffers, pH calibrations)• Carried out stability testing (Bio-A, making HPLC buffers, Free Thiol, Osmolality and pH testing, cell-based potency assay, endotoxin).
