Scope of work includes upgrading 18 km of existing forestry road to accommodate heavy shipments, construction of 33 km of site access roads, as well as 40 km of 138 kV transmission line from the project substation located at Port Hardy. The scope also includes design and construction of foundations, electrical collector system, switchyard and turbine erection and commissioning* Pre-construction / project set up for the Client Confidential Wind Power Project – EPC contract for 160 MW wind farm. The project included management, design, supply, construction and commissioning for the electrical collection systems, 500 kV substation and connection to the Ontario transmission grid. Civil Works included site roads, the underground and overhead electrical collection system, Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) foundations, crane pads, Substation earthwork foundations; Substation - including the project control building (e-house) and switchyard; WTG transportation and installation - including transportation of the WTG components from the manufacturing facility to site, and overall turbine erection; SCADA/Communications - including the installation, programming and commissioning of the SCADA Protection and Control (P&C) and communication schemes, 115kV transmission line.
