I am a highly experienced economist with a diverse and international professional background in the private and public sectors. I have a particular interest in the interaction between macroeconomics and financial markets, policy formulation and implementation, and long-term challenges such as demographic change (and its implications for state and private-sector pensions and capital markets, including financial stability) and environmental sustainability.In my career I have had the opportunity to work for some of the leading businesses and institutions in their respective fields, from pensions insurance and country research, to finance ministries and central banking to international financial institutions. In these roles I have advised and worked with senior policy makers and business leaders, and have helped build bridges between business and policy making. I have build up a wide and diverse range of stakeholders in academia, think tanks, public sector, media and business, and have published widely.
