Project Team SupervisorBest Buy Jun 2001 - May 2004The Project Team Supervisor manages the overall merchandising project process for their assigned stores. This position provides work direction in support of all merchandising implementation projects focused on Remodels, New Store Openings and Special Projects. The Supervisor is directly responsible for managing the scope of work and ensuring constant productivity of the Project Team while ensuring our stores are ready for business each day. They are solely responsible for Project completion and follow-up in the Field Deployment Manager’s absence. The Supervisor will on occasion create travel itineraries for themselves and other Project Team members, traveling away from home and working overnight shifts up to 75% of the year. This role connects with many levels of internal and external customers, requiring superior skills in team-building, partnership and communication. This includes communication directly with Retail store leadership as their single point of contact, creating alignment and providing viable solutions and problem resolution. 80% of your time you will:Lead on-site and remote project management and coordination Complete all planned project initiatives to acceptable standards within given timelines, including follow-up of known issues Recruit, supervise and develop up to 15 direct reporting Project Team employees, including hires/terminations, employee development, coaching, performance appraisals and accurate payroll reporting 20% of your time you will:Communicate with the Field Deployment Manager and Retail store teams during implementation, focusing on problem resolution Ensure accurate and timely reporting is provided to all internal and external partners Solicit feedback from Retail to further refine the merchandising project process to meet customer needs and project goals
