I am an ecologist, dedicated to nature and biodiversity conservation for work and privately - combining profession with passion.I have 20 years of experience during which I covered a broad variety of topics in scientific research, government policy, consultancy and international non-for-profit conservation. Through working in different sectors I have the skills and diplomacy to bridge between conservationists, businesses and governments in various international and cultural settings.I have managed small projects and complex programs in among others Europe, West Asia and North Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Arctic. I provided various trainings and capacity building activities, and am used to working with strategic programs with many stakeholders.My experience includes coastal protection and river basin management, urban and industrial development, disaster risk reduction, spatial and master planning, environmental impact assessments, and biodiversity monitoring. I covered a broad range of species groups and ecosystems, from wetlands, coasts, rivers, peatlands, grasslands to forests and arid regions.
