I created educational videos on the SoftLayer API and SoftLayer Imaging, and developed the IBM-wide Salesforce web application for requesting sales onboarding services. Additionally, I wrote data analysis tools for sales metrics and organized customer workshops for IBM Cloud. I contributed to the development of the SoftLayer architecture certification course and assisted stakeholders in building confidence in SoftLayer services to drive adoption and usage of SoftLayer infrastructure. I served as a Subject Matter Expert on all product and service offerings, as well as the processes required to successfully implement customer solutions.

Senior System Administrator for Intel Security’s corporate Linux VM and physical server infrastructure, managing over 1,000 Linux servers and supporting a 5,000+ VMware infrastructure with a mix of operating systems. I also supported a Cisco UCS infrastructure consisting of 8 clusters and approximately 300 servers (B200 and C240 systems), including configuring UCS Fabric Interconnects (FIs) and blade servers for deployment. I built VMware ESXi servers over Cisco UCS and supported legacy HP, Dell, and IBM blade infrastructures. I worked on the architecture and design of corporate-wide Linux images (Red Hat/CentOS 5x, 6x) and templates, overseeing their deployment across VMware and UCS infrastructures. I was responsible for Linux patching across the enterprise, using RHEL Satellite and Spacewalk patching servers. I contributed to the development of best practices, automated deployments, and created runbooks for Tier 2 and Tier 1 support teams, both domestic and international. I also worked on Linux documentation for the corporate enterprise and assisted in the training and onboarding of contractors. Additionally, I lead the corporate-wide Linux SOX audits.

I served as a Senior HP-UX/Solaris/Linux administrator and architect for the CAM Manufacturing group, managing over 100 enterprise servers, including HP-UX, Solaris, and x86-64 servers running Red Hat Enterprise and Fedora. I managed the main Hitachi 9900v Lightning fault-tolerant arrays, utilizing True Copy and Shadow Image, and integrated HP Service Guard across two campuses. I also managed two EMC cx500 storage arrays and three legacy EMC arrays (8430, 3830), and planned and implemented the manufacturing SAN network, which included four McData 4500 Fiber switches configured in a fault-tolerant mode. I handled enterprise backups for CAM manufacturing using HP Data Protector and developed in-house Load Balancing/HA software to manage Linux clusters. Additionally, I supported the corporate intranet site, developed web applications, and wrote detailed system documentation, diagrams, and project plans. I coordinated with vendors and field engineers for repairs. I also led the effort that converted many legacy CAM support applications from a high-cost Unix environment to a more cost-effective Linux environment, transitioning legacy binaries to an Apache/JBOSS/Tomcat middleware architecture, and managed support contracts.

I worked as a Senior CAM Unix Administrator for local manufacturing, providing support for the Workstream MES and FAB automation environments. I managed the Unix infrastructure for over 450 users, including both servers and workstations, and handled enterprise backups using HP Omniback II and Veritas Net Backup. I supported Sun workstations and played a key role in migrating the manufacturing environment from VMS/Promis to Unix/Workstream. Additionally, I facilitated the migration of the entire IT infrastructure from Nortel to STMicroelectronics, managed contractors, and developed a web-based asset management and inventory system to track all IT assets for the facility. I was also responsible for designing and building all the CAM high availability clusters that supported the FAB, utilizing HP-UX systems and Service Guard for fault tolerance. Furthermore, I worked on a small team building the main corporate data center from scratch, overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the CAM infrastructure.

I worked as a Programmer/System Analyst (CS-02) for the Systems IT Architecture Directorate at Human Resources Development Canada (a Federal Government Agency). My responsibilities included providing programming support (CGI/Perl) for internet applications and serving as the web server administrator for agency servers. I also acted as a Unix System Administrator for agency servers running Solaris 2.6 and HP-UX 10.20, and I was the Unix security architect for both internet and intranet servers.

I served as the New Technology Officer (GT-03) for the National Communications Directorate at HRDC. In this role, I was the webmaster for the Communications Directorate and a senior developer for HRDC's National Internet and Intranet sites. Additionally, I provided second-level support for all National HRDC Internet and Intranet websites and mentored contractors and interns.
