Missions of Mercy has treated over 11,000 patients.● Collaborated with Governor’s office, key legislators/community leaders, decision-makers, and stakeholders in forming dental action committee made up of dentists, dental hygienists, state regulators, insurance companies, patient advocates, educators, medical community and local community leaders; played leading role in legislative session to pass key provisions into law to address issues. ● Improved patient education and prevention programs, tripled number of dentists participating in Medicaid program, increased funding for Medicaid dental benefits, and expanded pediatric patient education for dentists.● Elevated Pew Center ranking of Maryland from among nation’s worst in dental access for Medicaid-eligible children to Best State For Children’s Oral Health in 2011 (and still holding). ● Grew Association membership by 28% (1,800 to 2,500).● Boosted attendance at Association’s Annual Meeting by 17%.

Oversaw 5 direct reports with full oversight of all financials. ● Restructured/re-established Political Affairs Departments stability and reputation from prior mismanagement of program/funds; took ADPAC from mid-rank of 4,000+ federally registered PACs to 73rd largest PAC in nation and 2nd largest health care PAC.● Pioneered ADA Grassroots Program enlisting over 13,000 volunteer dentists representing association politically and legislatively; program continues to exist today and greatly benefits ADA.● Initiated/created ADPAC Partnership for Growth Program working with all 50 state dental associations to grow Political Action Committees and American Dental Political Action Committees (ADPACs). ● Launched ADPAC Campaign School, spin-off of ADA Grassroots centered on providing campaign training for dentists interested in running for public office. Numerous dentists attended Campaign School and successfully ran for office (4 dentists serve in U.S. House of Representatives today).● Earned ADA Presidential Citation.
