Led cross functional team through successful design, development and implementation of a new turbine generator component which was the first in over 30 years. The final product delivered a reduced risk of power plant outage, a maintenance time decrease of 50%, improved safety for maintenance personnel and a product cost 50% lower than the competition. Component was recently implemented on GE new unit fleet as well as retrofitted for service applications.Managed multidisciplinary team through successful electrical and mechanical design, installation, implementation and use of a high-speed generator component test facility which saved GE $0.5MM in cost and expedited schedule by 6 months than if designed and fabricated externally. The test facility has enabled GE to become a leader in characterizing and improving generator performance through identifying improved maintenance practices and component design features that result in less unplanned maintenance and fewer power outages.Fostered a customer partnership as well as led the development and installation of first of a kind generator monitoring system at a combined cycle power plant in Orlando, Florida. System enabled the capture and analysis of previously unavailable data used to address customer concerns regarding cycling turbine generators between high and low output conditions. Co-authored ASME paper PowerEnergy2016-59147, featured in the February 2017 issue of Energy-Tech magazine, highlighting the lessons learnt and suggested customer maintenance practices to improve reliability, availability and maintainability.Saved customers approximately $1MM per day in revenue by performing a Root Cause Analysis which successfully diagnosed and corrected failures found on field ground fault detectors used on a large global fleet (150+) of generators thus eliminating nuisance ground fault alarms or potential trips requiring the generator to go offline.

Provided mechanical and electrical engineering services in support of new product introduction, testing, procurement, installation and maintenance of components for large scale turbine generators operated by utility and industrial power customers.

Provided critical project engineering support for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, specifically related to the design and procurement of equipment for the safe handling and storage of spent nuclear fuel.Managed the successful procurement and delivery of radiation shielding equipment enabling the safe transport and storage of spent nuclear fuel.Designed, assembled, installed and implemented a test platform for the measurement and acquisition of data required for the vibration analysis of heavy lifting equipment used in the transport of spent nuclear fuel containers.Executed the successful delivery, installation, and site acceptance testing of a servo-motor controlled bridge crane for transporting spent nuclear fuel.
