At LAIKA, I maintained the health of a 140 blade render farm, manage 500+ computers of various OS types with cf-engine, ruby and bash, and contribute ruby, HTML, CSS and JavaScript code to our internal tools. These tools leverage technologies like Ruby (Strelka, GLI, Symphony), OpenLDAP, PostgreSQL, memcached, and AMQP (RabbitMQ).In this job position my focus has been turned towards this emerging internal toolset that gives us amazing automation abilities over our systems and network infrastructure.

In this position I created a suite of scripts and tools for OS X to customize machines for various needs and different positions at the studio. The tools ran over the top of a retail image, allowing us to purchase machine from a retail store, and having it in a deployed state within 2 minutes of being plugged into our network.I was also responsible for moving our render farm to use Pixar's Tractor as a render scheduler, including supporting it through a beta phase and working with the developers to fix bugs and help them implement security features.

I provided front line support for all Linux, OS X and Windows desktop systems, built and managed packages for Linux and OS X during the production of The Boxtrolls.

I provided front line support for all Linux, Mac and Windows computers during the production of Paranorman.

I managed and edited technical documentation, and coordinated the schedules of instructors, classrooms and production staff to help produce internal classes for on-boarding and furthering employee skill-sets.

I repaired Windows computers, software and hardware, using the Geek Squad internal tool-set.
