As an aspiring attorney for the JAG Corps, I have devoted my entire professional career thus far to Rhoads Law Group, P.A. My position as a Legal Assistant and Office Manager at the firm has allowed me to obtain extensive knowledge of civil procedure, specifically in the personal injury realm. Through hands on experience, I have developed an expertise in client relations and legal communication.The most rewarding development, however, has been the discovery of my passion for serving those who are unfamiliar with the legal process. It is a social imperative that the legal field be made more accessible to everyday citizens. As such, my commitment to Rhoads Law Group, P.A. has blossomed into to a commitment to the advancement of general legal literacy and familiarity. It is important to recognize that illiteracy in general is a pressing issue in our society. Working with clients from underprivileged backgrounds and humble socioeconomic means has shown me that a more concerted effort must be made to ensure that individuals are able to read and comprehend contracts, job applications, and other pertinent legal documents. This has led me to accept a position with the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County as a full-time AmeriCorps Volunteer, a role I will assume starting in August of 2022. Following the completion of this volunteer term in June of 2023, I will attend law school and pursue my dream of being a JAG Corps attorney.
