My passion is developing analytical solutions to financial risk problems and growing & leading teams who can deliver these solutions with lasting impact. Digital assets are pivotal for me to streamline processes, accelerate development and to facilitate analytical insights creating value across organisations. I have been following this passion for the last 20 years -- for the last five years in the Risk Practice of McKinsey & Company, for 12 years on the Trading Floors of UniCredit, Credit Suisse and Barclays Capital and before that doing research and teaching at Nuffield College, Oxford and the University of Konstanz. Topics in Credit- and Market Risk as well as Stress Testing and scenario based financial Planning are getting me regularly excited. Over the years I have served clients and employers in Europe, the US and Asia on topics ranging from designing and introducing a Counterparty Credit Risk Framework from scratch, over standing up a Credit Tribe owning and driving an automated underwriting engine up to growing capabilities in Banks and Financial Regulators on the Financial Stress Testing side including enhancing the financial resiliency and performance of organisations. Other topics I have worked on include the design of a Market Risk framework for discretionary asset managers (both mutual funds and hedge funds) including Due Diligence aspects as well as the re-structuring and workout of stressed loans. At the moment, top of mind for me are how to fundamentally re-think the end-to-end analytical model development, validation and maintenance value chain and addressing efficiently the needs of non-financial companies in Stress Testing and scenario based financial planning.
