Several years experience as an operational air traffic controller. In this period I also worked as an On-the-Job instructor (OJT-i), senior OJT-i, simulator instructor, Quality engineer and project manager. As head of training of the MilATCC I worked on reducing the lack of Air Traffic Controllers by redesigning the training program's, improving the quality of OJT-i's and 'build' a ATC Course for MilATCC at the German ATC Academy, DFS in Langen. In this period I also developed, implemented and executed the Team Resource Management program for the Netherlands Military ATC.As head of the ATC Competence Dept. at LVNL I worked on designing the competence schemes for ATC personnel and worked as projectleader for implementing TRM at LVNL. In 2006 I worked on the reorganisation of four separate departments which resulted in a department I managed untill 2011. Starting in September 2011 I became the manager of both the Initial training Dept and the Simulation Products department at LVNL. these departments where integrated in to one department (IT&SP) in january 2013. As Program Manager Human Factor I coordinated HF-programs and projects for the Human Factor department (e.g. Deliver Lelystad TWR Crew) and acted as HF-representative in LVNL-programs (e.g. 1ATM). In my role as Manager Business Support my team and I look after all change management, quality and compliance and management/business support of the Training organisation. In parallel I act as Program manager and projectmanager, working on projects to enhance the performance of the Trianing System.Areas of special interest/specialisation:- From Sep 2005 till Sep 2008: Chairman of 'Stichting HUFAG' (objective is to promote the application of Human Factors knowledge in the civil aviation business in the Netherlands; see also www.HUFAG.nl)- Freelance Human Factor trainer and consultant in Human Factors & Safety (e.g. Human factors training for African aviation professionals www.aviassist.org ) and other domains like healthcare, VTS-operations, railway operations, etc. - Founder and chairman of cycling club V-TART since August 2008. - between Jan 2018 and July 2022 Chairman of the Friends of AviAssist Foundation- In my free time I paint and write (4 books published).
