Therefore this group is currently on hiatus.♦ Vision: Improve skills needed by individuals in order to meet the knowledge and competency requirements of the Digital Age.♦ Mission: To make education more meaningful and relevant to the real world needs via collaboration and communication in order to bridge the skills gap and stem the brain drain.♦ Our community experts and community members who graciously volunteer their time to share ways to work towards making education more meaningful. Our intent is to help close the skills gap that businesses have noted in graduates and stem the brain drain of the graduates who take positions in other geographical areas.♦ We were working on a project to help veterans. In a collaborative effort, we are assisting a few veterans incorporate the input gathered during a focus group we had into a formal plan of action. In attendance at that meeting were veterans, veteran organizations, businesses, not-for-profits, veterans service organizations, educational institutions, workforce, and financial entities. .♦ We shared our knowledge & expertise with groups such as BarCamp Sarasota-Bradenton, Spark Growth, Purdue University’s Strategic Doing program of the Purdue Center for Regional Development & CareerSource Suncoast.♦ Tampa Bay Technology Forum & Suncoast Technology Forum members have participated in some of our activities.♦ Our members are working with the Booker High School Stacks Entrepreneur Club, Hillsborough Schools, University of Florida Sarasota-Manatee and Tampa, ITT-Tech Bradenton.♦ Participants from Lee, Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties have been involved with our group.♦A side effect of the connections that have been made amongst the members have given energy to entrepreneurial enterprises.♦ Members attended the SB2 Symposia for Regional Strategy

Creating software and database projects to help CWA use web technology and website design to enhance the nucleus of Brand Building; reaching out to the community and enhancing internal and external education.

I worked on building GAHooM into a vibrant organization that is an active contributor to the IT community of the Tampa Bay/Suncoast area. My love of computing and involvement in education and training are my passions. I enjoy helping people and encouraging them to do their best.I made significant improvements to GAHooM and brought it brand recognition however a financial decision made by another party resulted in GAHooM's impending closure.I am grateful for the opportunities I had to improve myself and others. Several lessons learned during this experience have prepared me to be better suited for my next endeavor. I will be carrying some of GAHooM's projects on to my next organization.

• Because of my logical skills, saved a hospital the repeated costs of bringing in an external consultant for the CompMaster® software program.• Built an interface amongst several software systems at a hospital to coordinate a data feed for spending accounts into a new software system when the custom spending account module for the payroll system was not ready.• Created a computerized system for creating Worker's Compensation reports from start to finish to replace manually typed reports.• Created and coordinated systems to process, record and summarize the results of supervisor evaluations.• Maintained records for Tuition Reimbursement and processed requisitions for same.• Processed and created reports for employee continuing education courses.
